Access to the Institute for Mathematic's wireless network (WLAN) with wpa_supplicant (e.g. with Debian and its derivatives)
Enter the following into the /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf file:
ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
eapol_version=1
ap_scan=1
network={
ssid="MI"
scan_ssid=1
key_mgmt=WPA-EAP
pairwise=CCMP
group=TKIP CCMP
eap=TLS
identity="IDENTITY"
ca_cert="/path/to/AAA_Certificate_Services.der"
private_key="/path/to/cert.p12"
private_key_passwd="WLAN"
}
Of course the values for identity, ca_cert and private_keys need to be adjusted.Many operating systems preinstall the root certificate. In this case you can replace the line starting with
ca_cert= with ca_path=/etc/ssl/certs.Launch wpa_supplicant with:
wpa_supplicant -i wlan0 -Dwext -c /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf -B && dhclient wlan0If necessary, you may need to replace wlan0 and wext.
