In the meantime, the Otto Toeplitz Memorial Foundation has started to work. In the winter term 2022/23, Prof. Dr. Norbert Schappacher from the University of Strasbourg was a guest researcher and lecturer at the Mathematical Institute. Currently, Dr. Michael Friedman and Dr. Hannes Junker have a PostDoc position as a research assistant. They also give lectures and seminars on the history of mathematics.
The Otto Toeplitz Foundation is looking for interested historians of mathematics who can be employed from Winter semester 2025/26 for a maximum of 5 years. This includes:
- Guest researchers
- Postdocs with an outstanding doctoral degree
- PhD students
